La carcasa de reflex Nikon Modelo 1 fue introducida para complementar a la lente de telefoto RF Nikkor 25 cm f/4.0, la cual tenía un marco del visor integrado que no acomodaba una longitud de telefoto tan larga. Se introdujo al mercado aproximádamente en 1954, siendo el primer modelo y primer tipo de carcasa de reflejo hecho por la empresa japonesa. El enfoque se realiza a través de un visor magnificador vertical y el visor es extraíble. De lado derecho del chasis principal esta el switch o interruptor para cambiar el cuerpo de la cámara para tirar vertical. Los enchufes del cable de liberación estan ubicados uno en la parte superior y otro en la parte inferior. Se discontinuó en 1956, haciendo este modelo muy escaso.

El Modelo 1 llevaba números de serie del 371000 al 371190, lo que hace que esta primera Unidad del Modelo 1 haya sido producida en menos de 200 unidades.

Cuenta con 4 cables de telemétricos, y el módulo completo con su prisma de 45 grados y sus cubiertas de lente y su caja. El único defecto que tiene es una rotura en la orilla del anillo anti reflejo. Sin embargo, no tiene ningún otro indicador de uso.


The Nikon Model 1 reflex housing was introduced to complement the RF Nikkor 25 cm f/4.0 telephoto lens, which had an integrated viewfinder frame that did not accommodate such a long telephoto length. It was introduced to the market around 1954, being the first model and type of reflex housing made by the Japanese company. Focus is achieved through a vertical magnifying viewfinder which is removable. On the right side of the main chassis is the switch for changing the camera body to shoot vertically. One of the cable release plugs are located on the top and the other on the bottom. It was discontinued in 1956, making this model very rare.

The Model 1 carried serial numbers from 371000 to 371190, making this first Unit of Model 1 produced in less than 200 units.

This particular piece has Serial Number 371159. It features 4 telemetric cables, and the complete module with its 45-degree prism, lens covers and its box. The only defect it has is a tear on the edge of the anti-reflective ring. However, it has no other signs of use.
